🤧 How to avoid giving our best friends the worst virus

Dogs feel COVID too!
Over 70% of Americans have had COVID.
From your favorite TikTok influencer to your preferred late night talk show host, everyone has given advice for how to avoid getting COVID. But what about the dogs? How do we prevent passing this virus to our furry friends?
It’s been reported by the CDC and AKC that our pets can indeed get COVID-19. And research institutes like Konkuk University have reported that dogs infected with the virus, even without displaying symptoms, can suffer from degenerative brain disease.
So what do you need to know…
How does it spread? The virus spreads from people to animals most efficiently from close contact.
If you have a pet and get COVID, isolation is the best medicine. Avoid petting, snuggling, kissing, or sharing bedding with your pet.
If your pet becomes sick, don't take your pet to the veterinarian yourself. Instead, contact the veterinarian. He or she might offer advice through a virtual visit or make another plan for treating your pet. Testing is recommended only for pets that have symptoms and have been exposed to a person
I know we don’t like to cancel grooming appointments, but if a pet’s owner has COVID-19 it is probably safer to reschedule. Always better to err on the side of caution, especially when you’re seeing so many pets.
I’m no doctor, but I hope I shared something that helps. Stay healthy out there!
✂️ How 1 groomer landed Ralph Lauren as a client

We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Jonathan David, an award winning groomer and successful business owner. Though he’s off to bigger and better things, we want to reminisce on his humble beginnings: house calls in Manhattan.
Here’s how Jonathan David landed Ralph Lauren as a client:
1. Bet on Himself - Jonathan left a boutique salon in Manhattan to start his own house call business. He knew that he couldn’t ever make the money he wanted to working for someone else, so he took a risk and went out on his own.
2. Focused on Quality - What’s better than advertising or clever marketing? Word of mouth. Jonathan’s cuts were so well done that people would stop his clients on the street and say “What a beautiful haircut. Where do you get your dog groomed?”. A high bar for quality took his business to new levels.
3. Became “Exclusive” - It’s more than just the haircut. Jonathan knew that high-paying clientele cared about the experience, they wanted a concierge service. Things like telling people he was “booked up” and charging high prices elate a sense of elegance that high status people love.
